And so our flagship major project for 2026 commences for Client Barchester Healthcare, working alongside CBRE, the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, on the Isle of Jersey in July. 

A full roof refurbishment of Lakeside Manor and parts of Lakeside Care on the same estate.

Over 1500 m² of pitched roofing is being replaced in SIGA Galegas 39's and 700 m² of warm built-up Felt Roofing using IKO Signature Felt products.

We are also supplying and installing over 600 lm of Code 6 Lead Hips, Break Flashings, and ornate Bays to bring this building in line with current regs for Zonal exposure on the island.

The biggest design challenge for us was the current Flat Roof arrangement that would require a bond from the bituminous Flat Roof covering onto the Lead Flashings cloaking the pitched Roof elevations, so through planning application and structural approval we are now raising the height of the Flat Roofs to incorporate a drip detail to keep the interfaces separate.

Because of time constraints, we will have up to 24 trades on site at one time to avoid the turn of weather coming towards the winter months.

We have shipped all materials to the site and are looking forward to kicking this project off, further cementing our relationship with Barchester Healthcare as their go-to Roofing Contractor, regardless of location.
